I see your point. I never said that black people want to do away with the National Anthem.

I still stand, face towards the music, take off my hat, place my hand over my heart when the anthem is played at an event. But not for a second, do I think that song was written with me in mind, because it simply wasn't. That fact doesn't take away how I feel about this country and the opportunities it has afforded me.

Culturally, I just think we will always see it from different perspectives, and that is completely okay.

They can play Baby Shark before every game as far as I'm concerned. I won't be watching, so turn it up and break off the knob!

Catering to those that feel like the world owes them something. I am done with them.
        These folks won’t miss a game…

Never really watched that game. I have better things to do and read about. Blows my mind(not really) how many people say “If my team would have done this or that.” Hilarious.

Wonder if anyone will kneel when it’s played?

I agree with you that people are looking for a reason to be offended.

I would have never known about the NFL playing this song until I saw the link in original post. I stopped watching the NFL and most professional sports about 4 years ago.

So in case you haven't noticed the words in that poem have come to fruition and I think it is very fitting. America wasn't the only slave nation in fact we broke away from slavery in the form of the highest price any nation could have ever paid, to the tune of 620,000.
It's time for people to move on and stop being a victim. If they put forth as much effort at being a victim towards growth and setting goals they would be much better off and even have joy and peace in their life.
