    Cuba protests

Does this grow into anything or does it die ?

Sure looks like the people may have reached a breaking point. It takes a lot of bravery to openly protest in that country. Success depends on several things - the first being if the government is willing to do a Tiananmen Square style slaughter/crackdown. If not, the protests will spread. There is no longer a Castro in charge - will Miguel Diaz-Canel be as ruthless as Fidel and Raul? Of course the communist regime will try to hang on to power but how far are they willing to go? I would love to see them finally overthrown.

Cuban people have been unhappy for awhile, I think it continues to fester. I hope that people here in the USA see what socialism/communisms really is.

I think the internet is going to be the biggest help for Cuban people. But I am sure those in power know that too.

Saw a FB post where Cubans were yelling "freedom!" and other anti-government slogans. Not too funny that freedom is considered an anti government slogan by American reporters.

How long before Biden sends our National Guard over there to build an 8' razor wire fence around the Cuban parliament building to protect their fellow commies?

How nice would this be? And there's no take backs either. See you later if you ever make it back here!

I didn't hear that...imagine what's being recorded currently that we may get to see down the road.

Mind boggling where we are as a nation right now:

~We have politicians who want a model govt / praise communist cuba.

~The Times is saying the crowds are chanting 'freedom' & other anti-govt slogans.

~The white house came out stating they are protesting cuz of covid.

It's a true statement. The Cuban government is a ruthless dictatorship. So saying freedom in Cuba would be anti-government (in Cuba).

We should be surprised by any of this. Every communist/socialist regime has manipulated the narrative and stolen elections, otherwise their life span would be about 2 years before the public realized it sucks. Oh guess what, our current admin checks all those boxes
