Its Political theater.
Funny how the person that shot into the Sergeant's car didn't get arrested.
Like him or hate him, I believe Rick Perry when he says a ham sandwich can be indicted. Based on what I know it was self-defense pure in simple.
The Sergeant was driving for ride share - fact
Drop of ride - fact
Took a turn on Congress - fact.
Protesters swarmed his car - fact
Sergeant stopped - fact
Criminal approached with AK-47 and pointed weapon at Sergeant - fact
(For the ignorant or stupid - when you point a deadly weapon (gun) at someone, you've committed a criminal offense call assault; thus becoming a criminal.)
Life in emanate danger, Sergeant fired to save himself - fact
Travis County DA - Criminal before Police - fact
The Travis County DA is grandstanding and going after this US Soldier for political purposes only.
If the Sergeant get's a fair trial, no doubt he will be acquitted. I then hope he get's a Civil Attorney and sues the pants off Travis county.
