My favorite episode of “Hygiene Theater” was when they wrapped the keypad of the credit/debit card machine at the checkout counter in sticky Saran Wrap. They never changed this “protective barrier”, I bet there are some keypads still wrapped in the original sheet of plastic from March 2020. What was this even supposed to do?
And yet like mindless zombies we just shrugged and tapped out PIN’s on filthy pointless plastic

Yep. Yet another example of sheer stupidity related to COVID. And when they are still wearing a face diaper standing behind the plexiglass (usually not by the employee's choice), you can't hear or understand anything they're saying. I always step to the side of the plexiglass to talk to them face to face, like regular humans, so I can at least get rid of one hinderance to communication.

Hell, early on a science testing center ( for lack of a better description) put out a news brief with a video of their test that showed micro vapor particles traveling over obstructions like grocery store product shelves 8 foot tall and traveling 30-40 feet. The drama attached to this event is remarkable
