    Let's correct that statement

From an article in the Austin American Statesman a few days ago

"Republicans argued that the measure, which they often call "constitutional carry," appropriately expanded gun rights under the Second Amendment."

I'll go out on a limb here and say that the law does not expand any thing, it only reinforces the language in the Second Amendment, "The right to keep and bear arms".

I posted the following on social media last night, pertaining to this topic.

On one hand, yes it is a victory. But at its most basic level it is not. When a citizen must rely on government to restore a right which the government took, do we really even understand what rights are anymore?

I should have stated “restore a right which the government took without authorization...”

We keep selling the lie that America is a free country. Does it help people sleep better at night when we perpetuate this fallacy? America is not free. We have to have a license, from the government, to do nearly anything. We pay exorbitant amounts of taxes and have our rights threatened on a daily basis. Free speech is not free. People continue to lose their jobs just for having an opinion. America is full of sheep. We had our elections rigged and stolen, and the patriot nation did nothing. Sheep, pure sheep. We are all serfs in the kingdom.
