Those big corporations are really nice. When the government raises their taxes they just take it out of the CEO’s salary. At least they don’t pass them on to the consumer.

At one point he said "only the government is in a position to make this large of an investment". Unfortunately most people don't realize the government is "us and our tax dollars.
He also said at another point, "we can afford it", yeah sure, poodin' Joe, you can clearly afford it with all the money you have pulled in from the Ukraine and China over the years. The rest of us, not so much.Comment

Every now and then I would flip back to see if the old fool was still talking. They could have replace Harris with a bobble head- all she did was keep nodding her head back and forth. I thought he did pretty good just looking at it without any bias. I didn’t get the comical side of it I would get with trump. Wasn’t as entertaining. All in all I would give a above average/good speech. There were times he got quiet and seemed to lack energy, but his message of unity is needed in America. Regardless of our views and ideas, I agree we gotta mend back together as one unit. It was a laundry list of wishes and a lot of his plans didn’t really have a plan, lol. But his message to buy USA made products struck home. Again all empty words unless he can act upon or get senate on board. Didn’t agree with everything he said, 15/hr seems hard to achieve, but the cost of living is outrageous so maybe not. I doubt he will be able to hit corporate America’s pockets the way he wants to. I work in a union position and do not agree with unions, democrats love unions. But, he applauded police which was needed, did not vocalize any plan to defund them. Spoke briefly on banning ghost guns and how he has beat the NRA before and thinks he can do it again, I believe leaving firearms alone and creating resources for mental illnesses in America would be more beneficial.Comment
