Ah... drinking and eating in groups prevents COVID. Got it. How about a link? I don’t think even any of the YouTube wannabe 15-minutes famous deniers pushed that angle. If your doctor did that would be interesting.

Melt- why does it matter to anyone if I eat and drink at a bar out of the same plate of nachos and the same fishbowl margarita with 10 other people? It has zero to do with you and it only should matter to the 10 folks eating and drinking together. Not sure why my personal business is any concern to anyone else

Did anyone else notice the DRASTIC drop in new covid cases AND deaths during the week of the great freeze? I guess the Texas covid strain wasn't adapted to the cold either.

One of those things that makes you go "hmmm?"

I would think this makes a social distance argument more than anything.

Did you know Covid doesn't die because of the cold weather? Makes you wonder.

I don't dispute the virus is true & potentially fatal to someone, but it must be horrible to live in fear every day.

I can easily understand why new cases went down (and it has nothing to do with distancing), people who were sick couldn't get to the doctor or a testing facility. Testing facilities were likely limited. But the time between infection and death is typically over a week. What happened to all the deaths? Also easily explained if the death count spiked the next week. It didn't.

That list of Austin businesses strikes me as the kind of customer base that voted away their rights anyway (with a few exceptions).

                      I'd agree with that.

I have no clue on current # of anything covid related. If you pay attention to it it'll just drive you mad.

I know. It's fun to hate on Austin. I love the place and still do it too. But I bet you will find a list just as long from every major urban center in Texas.
