Senior Biden Adviser Says White House Will Start Acting on Reparations Without Congress

A senior adviser to President Joe Biden said the White House will act without Congress to develop proposals for reparations, or direct payments to African Americans.

White House senior adviser Cedric Richmond told Axios on Sunday: “We don’t want to wait on a study. We’re going to start acting now.”

We have to start breaking down systemic racism and barriers that have held people of color back and especially African Americans,” Richmond added to the outlet. “We have to do stuff now.”

If you start talking about free college tuition to [historically black colleges and universities] and you start talking about free community college in Title I and all of those things, I think that you are well on your way,” he remarked, noting that a timeline for Congress’s commission to study reparations was not known.

Legislation for reparations was first introduced by Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) in 1989. In recent years, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) has repeatedly introduced the measure.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki last month told reporters that Biden is open to creating a commission to study the proposal.

We could send people to live in the country they believe their family came from where there isnt racism. We could pay for their flight and even give them a small amount of cash to ensure them a good start. As long as they sign away their citizenship and right to come back to this horrible racist country.

AS for free college tuition...I cant even begin to imagine the paperwork that a college would have to prepare and submit CORRECTLY to be able to get any form of payment from the government to cover a free tuition for just SOME of the students. In the long run, thee will just raise tuition on the paying folks and let the ones that are deemed "qualified" go to class for free.

Funny, I know people of ALL cultures (since we are all really just 1 race called HUMAN) that have paid tier own way to college and not looked for a handout from somebody else. Heck, my wife and I have even paid semester tuition for some of the students in our church because they were gonna have to drop for a semester to work and save more $$. They didnt ask, we chose.
