I'll tell you why. I've served my country for almost 28 years. I've put my life on the line for our way of life. That way of life is liberty and justice for all. I bleed red, white, and blue. I hold the constitution just below the bible. Both have been trampled on. It saddens me to know my child will be just a number going forward. It angers me knowing that people are cheering it on. I was lied to. We all were. Our government sits on a corrupt and lofty perch, greedily voting themselves more and more perks while taking more and more from us. They raise our taxes and give our money to foreign entities. They pass laws and exempt themselves. That is not liberty and it is not justice. The constitution has become just a rag for them to wipe their asses. Yes, I am angry. No, it's not the same.

I appreciate your passion, and I think we agree. You may have missed the “suddenly” part of my post. Our government has been trampling on us for decades, both Rs & Ds. The only thing truly new here is that the other team won the election this go round.

I haven’t liked the results or felt like I personally “benefitted” from any national election that I can recall, because the results are so similar. However, instead of going crazy on the internet and getting my BP elevated, I just do what I can about it. I work every day to for provide for my family and I enjoy the heck out of my life. I write my shi*** “representatives” regularly, and I’m probably on some kind of watch list.

Biden will probably take about as much from me as Trump did. Sickening on both accounts, but life goes on. Adapt and overcome. Keep your blood pressure low

I truly pride myself on being as objective and “in the middle” as possible when it comes to hearing others out, but I can’t help but point out how hypocritical those on the far-right are becoming. Radicals... whether they align themselves with the left or the right... will ensure this country never unifies. We sit and point fingers and blame others for everything that is happening around us but fail to even attempt to meet in the middle. This assumption that “we’re doomed” does nothing for progress.
