    Facebook and small business advertising

I am curious to hear from others that use FB/Twitter/Instagram and others to promote their business. How do you bridge the gap left by the social media platforms banning/shutting down like minded people? As much as I would love to shutdown my accounts on FB, Twitter etc-it poses a difficult decision. I feel I get a good return by advertising at these places. For those doing the same, how are you going to go forward? As much as I want to delete and walk away, I think it would hurt my business's. My short term plan is to keep doing what I am, keep my personal profile as is and gear it more towards the business support. Get setup with a conservative friendly social media platform for my personal stuff/entertainment etc.

I guess you need to ask yourself “who is your market”? If the masses flee or get banned who will you be advertising too!

I never put my business on any social media platform.

    Good luck.

      Pulled all mine.
As bad as it sounds we went to CL.
This is our first run, but things haven't slowed down.
      3 weeks now.
      More important things than money.
It will be everyones decision to make, but if I'm ready to die for this country, a little more money is the least of my worries.
Should Pedo Joe somehow win, he's fixing to lock us down anyway, so...

I have friends who have removed their businesses from face book. I am not even listed by Google. I've had customers ask me why not and I've told them I get enough business by referrals.

No one has to be in Facebook. Believe it or not

i’d be willing to bet but you’d get more business by advertising that you’ve dumped Facebook and that you are a Conservative owned business....if you are. I will avoid all liberal owned businesses, when I can. I do my best to use Christian Conservative owned businesses.

You folks have to remember that demographic is our target audience not 50 yr Olds. I'm as conservative as they get and even fly a don't tread on me flag at venue entrance but I'm also a businessman and if you aren't on social media in that business you are doomed. I'll gladly sell to anyone wanting to take that risk for a mere $1.3 million. I did delete my personal page

I have an FFL on the side that I used a facebook business page for but deleted it along with my personal page. May hurt business a little but don't really care.

My wedding venue booked one today straight from Facebook. Mixed race couple from Dallas....as much as I hate FB that's business...if yall come up with a better avenue I'm listening but its $30-$40,000 a year to me. Not sure how else this couple from Dallas would locate our venue in Collinsville

Facebook has only been wildly popular for a decade. Plenty of business was done long before the days of Facebook. Adapt and overcome. I'm in the same boat, and I will be happy to share strategy with you.

                        What industry are you in?

The only real reason I can see for anyone to be on facebook is IF you own a business. The rest of it is just a complete waste of time imo

We have a antique/vintage mall, this business has a very good return on FB advertising.
Our other one is utility/cargo trailer sales and repair. I do not see as much of a return on FB/Social Media advertising but we do several sales per month from it
