Govt spending, does anyone even care anymore?

This used to be a topic that was on everyone minds, now very few seem to care as long as it is their side running up the dept. I personally think the debt will never be even attempted to be paid down, because i think the numbers are so big that they are basically imaginary to most people. Here is a list of presidents and the debt when they took office and when they left in trillions:

Clinton: 4.064-5.674 holy crap, it pains me to say it, but Clinton had BY FAR the most fiscally conservative presidency in the last 28 years.

W Bush:5.674-10.024 Basically doubled, but did have 911, and a war in Iaq(that might have been ill-advised), and katrina, but ****

Obama:10.024-19.573 Spending it like it someone else's

Trump 19.573-26.945 Did anyone tell him this was not an area that we wanted to win against Obama in? To be fair the biggest jump was in 2020 with the covid, but the debt gains the 3 years prior were right there with Obama, even the 2 when the Republicans held the house and senate. BY FAR the most debt accrued in 4 years.

I have come to believe neither side GAF on this issue

Of course neither side cares. Neither side has a backbone to stop it either, apart from one or two.

We (The USA) are that family member that goes from one financial crisis to the next, without the ability to step back and see the damage we are doing to ourselves because we never see the big picture. We probably drive a really nice car, have a big house, big boat and an RV, but internally, we are broken.

No, no one cares. Democrats never care. Republicans pretend to care when there is a democratic in the White House, but haven’t actually held their feet to the fire (except maybe during the Clinton years). Has anyone in congress really mentioned the debt in the last 4 years? Not really. I’m sure when Biden gets in it’ll be a topic of concern agaim all of a sudden.

I guess this means interest rates will not be rising anytime soon. At least in the next 20 years.

Name a country that collects taxes and then sends those taxes to the United States. NONE! For some reason the libs feel compelled to send our tax money abroad while we have Veterans sleeping on street corners..

To be fair, foreign aid isn’t just a lib policy & practice, both parties participate. Initially it was a sound practice, support our allies and wage war with our enemies by proxy. But it proven to be poor investments. More times than not our enemy of our enemy is not our friend and eventually becomes OUR enemy using hardware we supplied them, albeit years and even decades old. And it’s bad enough that corrupt foreign politicians line their pockets with us foreign aid, but our own domestic politicians are doing it by setting shell corps and filtering us aid money back to their own pockets

To answer your question. No neither party cares. If the globalist agenda is real, it’s all part of the plan. And if it isn’t real, they figure the financial collapse will occur when they are long gone

no - and we will all find out the hard way when we can not pay our debt. The objective is to end America and everyone is helping to do it. This is what killed RUSSIA. It took them almost 20 years to recover. We are in deep doo doo.

None of the politicians care, and for the American people themselves... they like to talk big until the government handouts they suck on are threatened, then they don’t care all the sudden either. The real crisis of the country is a moral one.

I think a lot of people care but what the hell are we going to do about it.
One day we will wake up and all our money will be as worthless as toilet paper.

This is more true than you think. We or they have held off inflation somehow for a long time. We're going to get creamed and knocked down hard when it hits.

It’s happened to many other countries and we are no different. Americans will have a rude awakening.
