An executive order is legal under the constitution And, if you don't think they can do that, when is the last time you owned an automatic weapon, or a grenade, or a RPG? At least you can own an automatic weapon, but, guess what, you have to register it and pay a tax. Making sense now?

biden will make you register it by executive order. You will have to register all guns you have on your 1040 and pay a tax, some saying $200 each, maybe more. Any gun not registered will be illegal and a felony. They will NOT come door to door. They will wait you out and when you make a mistake, you'll be busted. We're screwed.

This is why is was HUGE when Trump banned bump-stock thru executive order. There is now a president for 2A executive orders. People had their heads buried in the sand because it was Trump.

I agree with post #6. After the Sandy Hook massacre, I fully expected a big "reform" on guns. But nothing happened a d everyone flipped their $h!+ buying mags, primers, and ammo.

I have been listening and observing the same discussion since the Clinton era assualt rifle ban non-sense. The NRA has collected billions since then. More "guns" of every ilk have been sold (or exchanged) probably since the the 1st recognizable modern gun was developed. Supposedly President Obama did more for gun shop sales than any POTUS before..........now President Trump has exceeded those sales...(bump stocks)....heck, looks like I am in the wrong business!

President Clinton banned assault rifles, but we still have them. We have three branches of government. No one person has unlimited power in our country. This is not the end of the world. We're going to be ok.

Good post! We all have a different lens that formulate our life's. Some are religious, some are cultural, some are historical in nature and some are just herky jerky knee jerk reactions whichever way the wind blows. The constitution has proven faulty on many occasions (even from inception), thus the multitude of amendments over the years. I do believe in order to have a more perfect union everything evolves. I absolutely agree with you that we will be just fine no matter which way the winds blow for a season or two.

Im about as conservative as a person can be and that lawsuit had no merit. Republicans needed to file lawsuit within those states to ever gain any ground.

An EO is ONLY legal under the laws to ENHANCE previously passed law. They can’t just make legislation at the executive level.

At least not in theory anyway........
