Man I am torn on this one....while I want the republicans to have control of the Senate, this blond chick Loeffler is a shady one...

She is the one whom her and her husband sold all that stock after the Covid briefings before the market took a dump......

She should have resigned in disgrace IMHO.....

I'm not sure to be mad or not.. I mean should it become law that all politicians have to be "long" the stock market? Or have a set sell procedure set in place months in advance?

Without strict rules how could you possibly blame someone for selling? Was that briefing before or after we started threads on TBH about moving to cash and out of markets in Feb?

If you invest daily how could you not know that Lofflers husband OWNS the NYSE

And not that politicians have to be long but you shouldn't be able to trade on stocks you effect the outcome of.

You sit on a board that can approve or reject a franking bill so you buy a million shares of the company that stands to benefit from this legislation at a few pennies a share.
You approve the legislation.
Stock MOONS and is now $150 per share (say hi, Novavax) and you cash out at 100,000% profit

Loeffler and another guy from VA or SC did this exact thing.

Why are Loeffler and Perdue not fighting for the recount and decrtification of the election more?

Maybe they'd get more than 50% of the vote and avoid a runoff if they desertified the election

What you have it understand that our idealized thoughts about what a politician should or should not be really has no bearing in the “real” world. Our system just doesn’t work like that anymore.

I would rather have someone in office that takes a little extra honey out of the pot while still letting me get all I can get than someone who tells me that I’m not allowed access to the pot.

Maybe it's time we demanded better and quit ALLOWING them to take a little extra out of the pot. What happens if you or I do that?
