It’s not my way of thinking. Our founding fathers were much smarter than you or me, they didn’t want a monarchy. We already have term limits by way of voting.

No, we don't. The bought and paid for will never get voted out because the money from special interests keeps them looking like they are the one to vote for with deception and lies.

So why would not the same rules apply to the 2 houses of Congress that apply to the President... If it's good to limit the president to 2 terms or 10 years whichever comes first, why would that not be a good idea for Congress??

These are exactly my thoughts. We do it so individuals don't gather too much power. Can't fathom why any sane American would want a Washington politician to have any more power. It is not a rational thought in my opinion.

I agree with the term limits for all - longevity is a problem when it comes to making progress. Especially in this form.

Paul may be great, but what has he been able to do to stem the greed and corruption? He may mean well, but he’s done virtually nothing to make progress.

Incumbents in the House and Senate have anywhere from 90-98 percent chance of being reelected. Many serving 30-40+ years. Several passing it onto their kin and making it a family business. To hell with that. Go to DC, serve the people for 2 or 3 terms and turn it over to someone else. Almost all get rich and only do enough to get reeelected. Over and over and over and over

If nothing has been proven, then why have votes been “reassigned” to Trump and removed from Biden? The computer “glitches” are being changed as we speak.

Yep. Being elected to political office was never meant to be a retirement plan.

Problem is we’ve gotten complacent about kicking them out.

How about all public officials get a detailed audit to make sure they're not making money they shouldn't be making.

So only people interested in making our Country better for "x" salary take the job. Like school teachers etc.

2 party system is just a 2 headed snake. 1 side cannot live without the other. Right now each head(radical right and radical left) is tugging harder and harder toward the opposite direction. When will it break?

RR, the problem with your idea is that it makes too much dam sense

So you guys think that if you term limit Sheila Jackson Lee someone more conservative would take her place?

It’s all about representation whether you like it or not

I don’t think it’s about replacing with more conservative as much as it is about being compromised by the more liberal. ($$$$$)

Term limits could very well prevent that.

Term limits would help prevent the career politicians being in bed each other and hopefully make them start holding each other accountable. Like the audit idea.
