Where do we stand on Covid?

Months and months have passed since we discussed what numbers would be needed to determine if Covid is bad, if it's still spreading, when it first really spread..etc.

Any of that get figured out yet or is it still zero data and all emotion/scare tactics to keep sheeple in line?

Surely by now they have anti-body tests and tested an entire school or two to see if enough kids got it to create herd immunity... No?

I was on a "MS Team" meeting yesterday morning with folks from several countries and pretty much all of Europe according to the folks I talked to / saw on camera (primarily from Germany) are genuinely still scared and they say it's getting worse there... When asked, I told them other than the gubment shutting us down, we are operating normally, no masks, no nothing... They seemed pretty shocked and amazed I'd say something like that... Who knows...

City of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said a few months back when he and the Harris county Tyrant Dora the Explorer shut the city and county down that the goal was to get the infection rate below 5%, then they'd open back up... Well the got to the 5% rate late last week and immediately had a presser to say that as soon as the rate reached 2.5%, they'd begin to open back up.... but definitely no opening or lifting restrictions of the city or county until Nov. 11th. the earliest... AFTER the ELECTION!!! Go figure... Anything they can do to further the agenda, the citizens and economy be dammmmeddd!!

I came across this article yesterday, dated September 1st.

          https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/2020...20is%20falling.

"Fauci and other public health experts have since put the COVID-19 death rate at about 0.6% -- six times that of a typical flu season -- which is the latest CDC projection."

"The good news: COVID-19 hasn’t proven to be as deadly as first feared, when some early projections suggested as many as one in four infected people would die."

Including myself, I know around ten people who have had Covid. Half of them are in their 60's. The worst case was bad flu-like symptoms. For my Dad (turning 62 in November) & I, it was less severe than a cold. Of course, in the grand scheme of things, ten people out of hundreds of millions (just talking about the US) isn't even a drop in the bucket. BUT, I would have to think that if Covid is as bad as "the system" is making it out to be, at least one out of those ten people would have ended up in the hospital or been in really bad shape. It's not even on my radar at this point. I figured I was going to get it. Did, got over it, and moved on.

No way to answer because that because it's all hype.. Laura Ingrham did report that the Flu cases were down by 95% compared to this time last year... Hmm imagine that..
Just because your were sick and "told" you had COVID doesn't mean you actually had COVID.. This fiasco has been one lie after another since day 1..

221,000 people in the U.S have died while testing positive for Covid

6% of those died actually from Covid and not a preexisting condition. =13,260 people

CDC originally predicted that 1.7 million people in the U.S. would die from Covid

So Trump has saved 1,680,740 peoples lives.

I don't doubt there's some of "that" (renaming/false reporting) going on, but I'd expect a reduction of flu cases because folks have been socially distancing and being careful not to spread the Kung Flu germs... This would be a side benefit that the flu germs aren't spread as easily either and the flu is less contagious (according to the experts). That would also translate in a pretty significant reduction in flu cases...

We know the bolded is a lie..assuming they are using the 200k+ death number. They don't add a Flu death every time after someone dies and they test them for the Flu. It has to be caused by the Flu to be counted. The Covid number is just died with the Flu huge and I mean HUGE difference.

                      Unless something changed

No one social distanced or wore a mask until Flu season was over or almost over though.

Where do we stand? We stand as a nation of sheep. I am absolutely shocked seeing nearly an entire nation doing what a corrupt govt tells them to do instead of deciphering things for themselves. Everyone is wearing a face covering because they were told to do so and they will continue to do so until they are told it is no longer necessary.....think November 4ish.

I agree. I should have clarified why I posted that quote. My point was that even the "official" death rate is less than 1%. Think about how much less of an issue all this would be if the media was saying you have a 99%+ chance of surviving Covid if you catch it? Instead, they keep making it an issue by acting like it's the end of the world because people are still contracting it, even though it was never stated that we would get to a point where Covid didn't exist anymore.

For all of you that think this is overblown I just spent 16 days in the hospital with this and it's not. This is the worst I ever felt and it did a lot of damage quickly to my lungs. Hopefully no long term damage but nobody knows at this point. There is a lot they don't know and they are trying to find out about this stuff. I'm just glad I didn't have it seven months ago when they didn't know anything.
