Are the debates a waste of time?

In your opinion are the debates pointless? I honestly believe there are no voters on the fence and may swing one way or another. At this point I think voters fall in the below categories.

they will vote for Trump because they do not believe in the liberal, socialist, Marxist agenda
They will vote for Biden because they want free stuff or they want the liberal socialist agenda
They will vote for Biden because Trump is too blunt and they think he is racist and mean
People believe both candidates suck and will not vote

It’s embarrassing to sit back and look at our country right now from another countries view. We have hundreds of millions of people in this country and these are the two best candidates we got? I will be voting for Trump because in the 4 years he’s been in office he’s uncovered many of Washington’s corrupt. Even though nothing will happen to anybody them it’s still nice to see it exposed.

I just think the debates are pointless let’s go ahead and get the vote over with so we can spend the next couple months figuring out who won the election, because it is clear to me neither side will accept defeat.

God Bless The United States of America and. E with us over these next few months.

    In the current format, yes.

A better format would be 3 hours, one topic. For example, debate 1 can be the economy. Debate 2 war and foreign intervention. Debate 3 government spending.

And get an impartial moderator. Joe Rogan would be awesome. Someone not afraid to stop a candidate from talking and really dig into what they say. That way, when one side says "man made global warming", the moderator can stop and ask what is the definition of man made global warming, and the listener can have some context to what the candidate is saying. Another example, the moderator could stop Trump when he says "greatest recovery of all time" and ask what does that mean, can you give us some stats?

They will never do that because the networks want 30 second sound bites, but I can dream.

As far as another countries view, do you realize how many people across the globe are actually rallying for Trump? How many people in other countries say how they wish they had Trump as their leader?

Believe it or not, there are “patriots” around the world that see what Trump is doing for his country, and they are pulling for his re-election. It gives people hope when they see another leader that isn’t afraid to take on the worlds elitist. People all around the world knows what’s at stake, and they are watching the US very close.

Yes. Election will be decided by how much illegal vote harvesting the democrats can get away with.

Yes they are a waste. The low information voters won't watch and everyone else's mind is made up. People for Trump will say Republicans won. People against Trump will say democrats won.

Yes, how anyone could possibly be undecided is beyond me. The two candidates are polar opposites. A third party doesn't stand a chance. Essentially, you are voting for your convictions at this point, not the candidate.

I made it thru the first 25 minutes of the first debate, then switched to Last Man Standing reruns... I did not watch the VP debate, and won't watch any follow up debates between The Donald and BiteMe. It is a total waste of time and not good for my well being to get worked up over something I can do nothing about. I'll just go vote Tuesday morning and that will be it for me.

So you mean NOT like this.
Mod - Joe, is global warming man made
Joe - Yes, Trump banged that hooker!

Mod - Trump, should we bail out airlines?
Trump - Hunter took bribes and snorted coke!

And on and on and on.. Freaking stupid.

Not a bad idea, pretty much along the lines of what I have wanted for a while. I would like much more detail on economic strategies, taxes, healthcare costs and related topics. Some mid level explanations for many of these topics. A lot of people may not care or be able to follow, but they would learn and we would have a much better idea of what we are voting for. All we get now is rhetoric and high level comments. Current format is pretty much worthless except for pandering and sentimental aspect of begging for votes.

This will never happen. DemoKrauts know they absolutely cannot win on ideas and their platform, so they must turn to personal attacks, emotion, and cultural issues that do nothing to allow us to self-govern... Repulsicans are terrible at messaging because they're too nice. That's what is refreshing about The Donald. He'll call a spade a spade, and he's not afraid to hit back. IF the Repulsicans would ever learn to band together in lock step with their leadership, regardless of who it is, they could wipe out the DemoKrauts on issues and ideas within 2 election cycles.

There are still undecided voters ....I know of 2 personally.
My BIL who is a very low information type person, and the other one is a old white liberal who hates Trump, but just can't pull the level for Biden. They strangely still exist.

I know it is virtually impossible but I am still holding out hope Slick. Also, would like to see no party affiliations, run on your own merit and ideals. Money donated to one fund and distributed to candidates equally. This would remove fu do g advantages and would show who can spend money more prudently. I know these are about as likely as unicorns and flying flying pigs, but hey, a guy has to dream!
