Answer is simple, as mentioned before, cut spending and increase revenue. The hard part is how do you get there. Most of the spending is mandated by law and military spending. Good luck reducing either of them substantially.

Yup. Every republican says cut spending, but only on democrat line items. Heaven forbid we cut military spending.

I commend Trump here. He is taking us out of every freaking country in the world. We need to stop paying to defend countries like Germany. Anyone ever look at their military spending? It's non-existent, because America has always defended them since WWII. They need to start paying their way.

Trump also got rid of John Bolton, who wanted to go to war with every country he ever saw.

Our budget will never be balanced and no meaningful deficit reduction will be possible without attacking the third rail... Social Security and Medicare/caid... Those two entitlement programs are bigger than all the rest put together almost...
