    CA Fires

While some say it's climate change causing the problems, others say it's the under growth and lack of logging.

Did you know that Trump signed an Executive Order (EO) in Dec 2018 for "Promoting Active Management of America's Forests, Rangelands, and Other Federal Lands To Improve Conditions and Reduce Wildfire Risk"

Read more about the EO here: https://www.federalregister.gov/docu...nds-to-improve

Did you also know this was talked about in 2000 with Clinton? 3 presidents from each party did nothing about it.

Why is it that the EO isn't even brought up by the news? Instead they want to talk about climate change.

We've had a solution presented since 2000. Trump was the only one to take action to try to prevent these type of fires.

Because they only talk about how mean, rude and what a womanizer he is

Because Joe was too busy telling everyone today that you could see the smoke from a Nasa satellite that is a million miles away. Yes, he said a million miles away.

So the arrest of BLM activist Jeffrey Acord, for intentionally setting a fire, is a conspiracy? Interesting.

Environmental activists don’t like forest management practices. They don’t like controlled burns because they pollute the air (even though there were actually more wild fires before humans began using fire suppression) and they don’t like forest thinning because it involves the removal of trees.
It’s much better for their fragile minds and the environment to blame humanity and specifically the republicans for climate change.

I've been hearing debate about forest management and forest fires since I started paying attention to politics in the late 90's. I wonder if these events are changing any minds?

Was worried climate change couldn't be linked to anything this election cycle. Luckily they found something. Granted it is something that has happened since trees were on earth.

I would never claim to be an expert, but I don't see how the temperature increasing 5 or 10 degrees, and it hasn't even increased that much, could cause fires to start on their own? I would imagine these are all started by some human intervention, intentional or unintentional. If you want to blame global warming for dry conditions, I guess you could. But blame stupidity equally as much, if not more, for not removing the kindling that exists and cannot be removed due to ignorant policies.

He said that because it’s true. The DSCOVR spacecraft is a million miles from earth right now and the telescope captured picture of the smoke over the west coast. https://www.google.com/amp/s/scitech...rom-earth/amp/

Robert Rohde, lead scientist at the non-profit organization Berkeley Earth, shared even more eye-opening stats about the largest blazes. Nine of the 10 largest fires in the state have occurred since 2012, and 17 of the top 20 occurred since 2003, he said.

What exactly does "occurred" mean here, they have been burning for 8 years?

The most liberal and greenest state in the US and their ideas continue to fail. This is exactly what happens when you inhabit chaparral desert that is a fire dominant community. More houses are built and more supression efforts are made to protect them, then when the right spark happens it all goes up in a massive blaze. The fuels aren't drying out, they are always dry, you've just continued to let the fuels build for years on end between fires.

I hadnt read up on it at the time - have now. That's insane.

I was speaking on the larger fires that were already burning.

There was a video on foxnews showing some guy starting a fire & 4 people have been arrested with suspension of starting the fires in Oregon...all part of the antifa movement of chaos.

There are even unconfirmed reports of them using drones to start the fires in remote areas.

Without a doubt the fires are much worse due to tree huggers not allowing proper forest management & not removing the fuel...There was a meeting of the minds yesterday in Ca & trump totally blew off some twerp who preached to him about the issue being climate change & wanting funds / focus.

Sure, a few degrees difference in temperature, if that, is causing all of the problems. Pay no attention to the tons of kindling laying around due to state govt not allowing forest mgmt.
