Reading that a citizen shot an armed protestor who approached his car.

Hope this turns out to be a legit situation and does not lead to more violence in Austin

Don’t have Twitter, so hope this works. The first shots sound like AK fire. The return shots are a few seconds after and are very distinct from the first. They sound like handgun fire. The protestor was reported to be armed with an AK and was interviewed earlier with an AK slung.

It worked. You gotta be some sort of bad shot to fire multiple AK rounds at a presumably short distance and not hit flesh.

If a protestor had a weapon and they were surrounding your car, you have a reasonable fear of death or grievous bodily harm.

Only the protestor knew his intent.

You do not have to wait for him to shoot before defending yourself.

Audio is clear - 5 shots from the AK first...THEN 3 handgun shots.

The media is making the AK carrying protestor the victim by saying he was pushing his quadriplegic wife in a wheel chair.
