Statues honoring confederate generals and the like are honoring traitors. There is absolutely no doubt that these men violated their oath to uphold the constitution of the United States. They are historical figures and preserving their likeness in a museum is appropriate but honoring them on a public square never was right.

Nope. They were following the 10th amendment rights that they perceived the already overreaching federal government were already encroaching on way back then. They were absolutely not traitors.
