I live in Harris county. (Houston) I still conduct myself as all is normal.

Working people = taxes being paid for state and government programs, etc, period. Keeping small business owners alive. Even if you don't want to admit it, money rules everything, people do not. We are a renewable resource, some being made right now, we aren't going anywhere, no matter what presumed Earth shattering event happens. Before some of you lose yours minds, I have kids, parents, too, but I can see the big picture, so can they.

it's only a shutdown if you comply. With little to no enforcement there's no reason to.

I think I see where this rumor is starting. I read a news article today where they said states like Texas and Florida are shutting down their re-opening progress. I think other news agencies are dropping that italicized part.

I remember Abbott said he would not shut down the state again. Yes, I know those were just words and he could try to shut down but I like to think he is smart enough to know that is not the answer.

Man I have always admired Abbott. I do not know what has happened to him the past couple months?

Human nature. Like most politicians...once they get massive amounts of power, they don't like to give it up.
