    San Antonio Mayor & Sidekick

Business owners in San Antonio/Bexar county, are you going to require your employees and customers to have their temperature taken before entering your establishment? Since the mandate put forth by Ron Dipstick and Nelson Bandana takes effect on July 2 at noon, how will you respond?

My wife was ****** off about this this morning. Her office will have someone at the front door asking Heath related questions and taking temps.
Our mayor is above all in his idiocracy and Nelson is right there with him.

Did you hear about Judge Nelson getting smacked in the grocery store last week? He told some guy to put on a mask and the dude smacked in the face.

My company here in Dallas has been taking our temps for a while now. We don't deal with customers, but it has not been a big deal for us employee's. We have had several people sent home for running a fever.

The video I saw, the judge came up to the individual (breaking the 6’ rule) in a Lowe’s or Home Depot and tried handing him a card, the individual just slapped/brushed it out of the Judge’s hand. Kinda like “get away from me, dude.” Sheriff said they would arrest the poor ******* on felony assault charges.

Laws and rights are now only for the politicians. The rest of us better get squared away PDQ.

Yes, they were going to charge him with 3rd degree assault. Charges have been dropped.

I am not really arguing for or against the procedures. But the problem is not necessarily whether or not it is a nuisance or not, but it is really kind of worthless. You could have come into the office for several days prior to running a temp and spread the virus, or if you are asymptomatic, you may never have a fever. You may be weeding out some cases, but definitely not all. Same thing with doing it at a retail business, there are going to be people spreading the virus that did not have a temp.

I see where you are coming from. The thing is, it has turned away idiots that were coming to work knowing they were running a temp. They had no business coming to work no matter what was making them sick.

I work in Dallas and we started taking our temps when we walk in the door. Have to sign in and make sure that we aren't showing any symptoms. Not a major hassle since I'm the first one in, in the morning, so there isn't a line.

I understand the other side as well. I don't know what the right course of action is, and I don't think anyone really does either. Not even the doctors and science professionals. Would be great if we could conduct some type of controlled experiment with one area shutting down, one taking all measures except shutting down and one carrying on as normal and study the results.

Ahhh that makes more sense of what happened. Should've smacked him good

We are talking about ALL businesses. From one man dry cleaning shops, 1 or 2 employee ice cream shops, to larger operations, having to stop what they are doing, go outside, ask customers questions (they could lie), take their temperature (asymptomatic?), and then get behind the counter again.

I'm hoping to hear from other small business owners on this.

I don't understand how they can ask health related questions. I would think that violates the privacy act.
