I bet you Kap would have more rushing yards than Drew Brees in that same season and he will have thrown more TD than Minchew.

I do not think his focus was on being a top quarterback, Whether on purpose or not once he took the knee his definite purpose had changed and he left himself no path to retreat or back down. Myself, I am a proud veteran and stand for the flag every time to honor those who served and paid the ultimate price. That said I support his right to protest and also the NFL's right to employ him or not. Now there was a greater life lesson on power for those willing to drop judgement and observe. It is the power of definite purpose and cutting off your path of retreat leaving no option for failure. As Napoleon Hill pointed out after telling the story of Hernan Cortes burning his ships : "Every person who wins in any undertaking must be willing to burn his ships and cut all sources of retreat. Only by so doing can one be sure of maintaining that state of mind known as a burning desire to win, essential to success. " For better or worse we will remember Drew Brees for being a great quarterback and remember Colin Kaepernick for taking a knee.
