    Sheesh

There are some GREAT leo out there that work their tails off. But these few bad apples are giving entire departments a black eye.

APD could have saved 1,000 lives that day but it was all overshadowed by these six cops.

Is there enough "before" video footage for folks?
I know some say they needed to see what happens before the cops stun guns and body slams the arrestee.

Who the blank cares. Why can't people follow officers directions.

it's simple; when a dude with a badge and a gun tells you to STOP what ever it is that you are doing; just stop. nuff said.

You can always tell the guys that never got over being arrested. And you can always tell the guys that fried their brains on synthetic marijuana.

This is full on gestapo tactics.
We have laws and citizens have a voice in this country.
The officer just can't tell you to do whatever for whatever reason and you have to immediately comply.

              LE is not God.

This is not a police state.

You see how quickly this escalated?
That was a teenage girl crying they taxes, pretty much immediately. Yanked out the car, body slammed then cuffed.

              And the clencher is .....

Check out all the criminal charges that were filled against these two that got yanked out the car.

So he and his passenger got chased, window busted and tazed because the cops didn't like him filming them? That's not illegal. Assuming there's not more to the story here I'm glad the overreaching cops got the ax.

You’re right, not the gestapo. We do have rights, but one of them is not the right to fight the police. I’ve had a cop be rude/combative 1 time in my life. He informed me he could take me to jail, I said “ the hell you can”. Then I realized one of us there had a gun and handcuffs, he was right, he could take me to jail. While he was 100% wrong on the law as I know it, I was just going to have to let the judge inform him of that, but I **** sure wasn’t going to fight him and give reason number 2 to haul me in. Amazingly, I survived the encounter and did not go to jail. I complied with all his requests and was sent on my way.

I wholly agree with you on the complying with anything an officer tells you.

It’s likely the right thing to do in most cases but it is not a carte blanche mandate for all orders given. There’s plenty of videos to watch where cops are telling people that are breaking the law when they are clearly not. Not sure if it’s intimidation or just ignorance on the officer’s part but it really doesn’t matter.

How many on tbh have had guns drawn on them and placed in cuffs because they fit the description?

Dispatch: I need units to the Wells Fargo Bank on 6th & Congress. Robbery in progress. Two white males approximately 6 feet tall fled on foot. Suspects are armed.

How many on TBH fit that description?

And if you happen to be within a few blocks of that location grabbing lunch is it ok for LE to cuff you and sit you on the curb until they positively ID you?
I mean, you fit the description.

This guy is a mainstay on Saturday Night Live and yup, he's a suspect.
Former "Saturday Night Live" star Jay Pharoah is revealing a police encounter that left him in a similar situation to George Floyd, with a police officer kneeling on his neck.

My rant is not anti LE
It's anti abuse of power altogether.
Even TSA agents and airline ticket agents abuse their power. I have run ins with them often. Making up rules as they go along and as they see fit.
Flight attendants making up stories about weight and balance issues but have never calculated the arm, moment or CoG.

Finally, the chief of Atlanta PD stepped down prematurely.
The guy that was killed the other night was drunk as a skunk and passed out in the drive thru parking lot.
He fails the sobriety test then begins to fight with the officers, taking their stun gun and pointing it back at them, so they fed him lead.
At least that's what the officers said.
We will have to wait for the video footage.
Chauvin said GF was resisting but the video we saw GF stopped resisting (because he was already dead) and Chauvin kept his knee on GF neck for an additional three minutes.

This question is the crux of the whole situation. Why would an entire segment of our population not feel safe following officer directions? The answer is complex and varies from situation to situation but I think the core if it is a universal distrust built up over decades of feeling mistreated and unheard.

You can argue the facts and statistics all you want but in this case perception is reality and we have to address the perception if you want to change the reality.

Well, I fit your description to a T. And believe it or not I have been detained more than once until until I was properly identified. Then I was given back my weapon and sent on my way. And at no time did it occur to me to start resisting, talking smack or being a general *** to the officers detaining me.

Why? Because if I had, it would have taken much longer to get done with the whole process. It's crazy to think that it works better by doing nothing, but believe me it works like a charm.
