Guess who's winning the culture war? Hint, it's not the peaceful side.

Black folks missed a golden opportunity here. They should have just taken and owned the Confederate flag. Turned it into a symbol of black pride.

Can ya see all the looks on the faces of the white folks with tattoo's of it?

Do you highly doubt the majority of Americans are in favor of freedom? Rights? Because make no mistake, that is what is being stripped away. People's rights. One group dictating what another group can or cannot say or do is not freedom. And when it picks up steam like it has it will not be long before they come after something you will care about. As American's we should be defending each other's freedoms. You may not raise the gay pride flag but it's not your right to tell someone else they can't. You may not raise the Mexican flag but it's not your right to tell someone else they can't.

Extremely well stated to a very narrow visioned crowd (and not referring to anyone specifically, only that this mentality is prevalent in about all groups).

They are not removing your right to fly the flag in your yard, on a flagpole in the bed of your truck between your exhaust stacks.... Your are FREE to do as you wish on your property.

This is a PRIVATE BUSINESS making a BUSINESS decision about what happens on THEIR property. I think a good one for the future of NASCAR 5,10, 15 years from now. IMO the # of rebel flag flying folks is a decreasing population, while the minority population that the flag does offended is increasing. Business plans are for future growth, not the past.

I never really put much thought into it, till someone on the radio said something to the affect of, " The confederate flag is to the Black population what the swastika flag is to the Jewish population." I get that now.

How many places have banned swastika flags?

I don't know of a single business that allows it to be flown. But you are allowed to fly it in your yard as well.

I'm with Neck. We are supposed to be a country of individual freedom. People should be free to fly whatever the hell flag they want. Pray to whatever religion. Have freedom to say whatever they think. These are supposedly freedoms that we are born with as Americans.

Plus it helps me weed out who I want to hang out with. Taking away flags does not remove racism.

Well, you see there in lies the problem... The First Amendment is NOT a guarantee of rights given to you or anyone... It is a restriction of what the GOVERNMENT cannot take away from you (especially since as you say, you are born with them so to speak)... NASCAR and any other private (non-gubment) company or organization can indeed limit what you can and cannot do on their property or within their domains... Until the gubment "nationalizes" NASCAR, book of faces, the twitter, and such, those companies/organizations are perfectly within THEIR rights to ban/control whatever they wish within their own domains...

Now, unless we want to throw that pesky Constitution and Bill of Rights out the window (which the Left would truly love), we who support it must live by it... for it's good and yes, sometimes for it's bad...

                        I don’t think it’s “their” property?
I get it. It’s a business decision...I hope they go out of business...

They are free to do all that on their own or public property.

If you go on someone else's property, it is their right to say what can and can't be done. Just like you control what flags can and can't be flown in your yard. Someone with a "X" flag doesn't have the right to fly it in your yard if you don't want them to. This is NASCAR's yard, and their rules. They have basically said If you don't like it, don't come to our yard.

I agree with you that businesses have a right to run their businesses as they fit. I'm just against banning and censorship in general.

I get where you are coming from. I quit watching pro baseball during the 1994 strike when Will Clark spit on a replacement player going to the field. I hoped MLB would go under after that. I still don't watch it, but I think it is doing ok w/o me.
