Minnesota cops messing with cnn news

CNN’s Omar Jimenez was taken into police custody during a live broadcast at the site of the protests in Minneapolis, after clearly identifying himself to officers. Jimenez’s crew were also placed in handcuffs.

I don’t know what they did to provoke the cops, but it looks really bad all around
Bad PR in a riot, hopeful it doesn’t spur more discontent

That will probably go down as the dumbest arrest in history. "Dang, how can we get some PR points back? I know, lets arrest that film crew over there who is confused about where to stand."

    Idiots.

Does anyone, with a brain, think the police thought "let's go bust a news crew"? I'm sure they were doing something, or in an area they should not have been, probably warned multiple times. But, that part wouldn't fit the all cops are bad narrative.

Probably the most accurate thing I have seen.

I wonder how long it was a live broadcast before they got arrested. What wasn't shown.

Call me tin foil guy, but that looks staged to me. At least by CNN. They either did something they knew would get them arrested or they coordinated with the cops. But I don't believe for a minute that it was random.

Ok so I just watched that video. I think that was staged! Makes absolutely no sense. And it just so happens that 2 white cops arrest a black CNN reporter and the camera man films the entire thing. Give me a break!

It’s CNN and probably staged, weather the cops or CNN it’s irresponsible to fan the flames of discontent during a riot and looting

                Governor apologized
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz apologized Friday after a CNN reporter was arrested in Minneapolis while reporting on the unrest in the city live on air.

Should have shot them just for being associated with CNN

This is where the media is gonna lead this “protest” and it’s going to result in some bloody events. I’ve got to think there is a healthy population of outdoorsmen in the burbs of Minnesota
Can you imagine if these guys brought that nonsense to the burbs around houston ?

The media needs to be locked up they are going to lead a lot of stupid people to their deaths

That don't mean much, I'm sure they're apologizing to the looters!

Yes you’re right. The officers, in the middle of a riot, agreed to stage a phony arrest that would make them look even more like jack wagons? [emoji19]

In other news, CNN had their biggest numbers in a decade...
