Even if the numbers get worse this week, which they will, expect for the media, forum comments, and social media posts to increase intensity of alarm. There will be even more click bait this week due to the expectation for this to be a bad week. It will be a bad week, but the “reporting” will try to justify its own sensationalism. Just keep that in mind. It’s bad, gonna get worse, but don’t let the idiots sink their claws into you. Keep steady, stay safe, and follow several sources for the numbers. Even if one source twists them to serve a narrative, by following several sources you can get a good idea of the “average truth”.

If they are right they will claim to be genius prognosticators. If their horrifying death rate predictions turn out to be waaay off they will claim it was because they scared the the entire country into quarantine - not because their models were ridiculously inaccurate and crashed the economy unnecessarily. They will claim to be heroes either way.

Exactly. Set expectations so low that, no matter what happens, you win. We need to do everything possible to hang the economic damage on them though, or else this will become standard procedure every time flu season rolls back around.

YouTube has banned all conspiracy theory videos falsely linking coronavirus symptoms to 5G networks. The Google-owned service will now delete videos violating the policy. It had previously limited itself to reducing the frequency it recommended them in its Up Next section. The move follows a live-streamed interview with conspiracy theorist David Icke on Monday, in which he had linked the technology to the pandemic.

YouTube said the video would be wiped.

During the interview, Mr Icke falsely claimed there "is a link between 5G and this health crisis".

"Now any content that disputes the existence or transmission of Covid-19, as described by the WHO [World Health Organization] and local health authorities is in violation of YouTube policies.

I'm not saying it is legit. But shouldn't people be able to decide for themselves? This part was somewhat disturbing to me

We can already see that the WHO and a lot of health authorities are full of it. So where will we be able to see content that disputes the norm? We can't meet in groups of more than 10. We can't view dissenting opinions. Doesn't sound like a good thing to me.
