Average age of Corona death is 80+ years

We have roughly 8,000 Corona deaths worldwide. The average age of those deaths is 80+. The USA has 3 million people aged 80+. Couldn't we better use our resources if we concentrated on protecting those that are most at risk?

Take the most at risk folks that are say 75+, compromised immune systems, etc... Have them self quarantine, social distance, or shelter in place. Whatever the new hot word of the day is. Use 1% of that soon to be trillion dollar stimulus package and have all their groceries and toilet paper delivered by a man in a space suit. Let everyone else in the country go back to everyday life enjoying the end of our normal flu season.

This makes too dang much sense....simple fix. Of course then the chosen ones would have nothing else to gripe about. They have a president to discredit!

Not sure if they will give up. I'm thinking North Korea will be blamed for hacking the next election when he wins.

Younger people can catch the corona virus. Most of the deaths are from old people, but younger people with underlying health problems are at risk also. Young people, even if they don't die, tie up hospital facilities. We now know that people that get over it can catch it again, so at some point we would have a large percentage of our population with the virus.

Much to logical of a solution. Airlines and Casinos asking for bailouts.....Winstar should be fine with what I've left there

And what would happen if this virus mutates and starts taking lives of children and young adults

Those people should shelter in place too. I'm talking about a simpler fix than everyone staying home and destroying the US and world economy. We can all stay home or just the vulnerable can stay home. It will pretty much accomplish the same thing at much less cost.

Re-evaluate and take appropriate actions. Shouldn't shut down the world for "what if something mutates".

You have been stumping for this approach for a few days now. I can understand the appeal. But I have a few questions for you to help me understand your mindset. What is your age bracket? Do you have older parents or grandparents that you interact with regularly? Do you have any children of your own? I honestly am just trying to get where you are coming from.
