I don;t see that he wins either way... if he doesn't, then the DNC propaganda arm a.k.a. our "press", will simply say he allowed them to fail, he stood by and did nothing...

We all know what Dems think.
Curious what you guys think.
I think it's a bit too early to bail them out. Let CV scare pass and then if they need help then help.
You know, I have loss of revenue insurance for my business that covers just such things (acts of God), terrorism, etc... If these companies choose to take their own risks, they should be allowed to feel the full effects of that decision... In the past 4 years, my business has suffered greatly because of world political crap, and ain't nobody offered to bail me out... I was against the Obama car bail outs and I don't like this either... If they want to offer them deferred payment low interest loans like individuals get during declared disasters, I'm OK with that, but not just give 'em money to bail 'em out... I hope he does not do that.
In my business I had to make prudent decisions and keep enough cash around to get through tough spots like a number of other members here. I say let them fail just as I would have if I didnt make good decisions in my business. The govt wouldnt be there with a bailout waiting. Im pretty sure our country will survive cruise line bankruptcies.

If those vessels were US Flag vessels, they'd have their own bail out net... but then again, the cruises would cost 5 times what the cost now, so there's that... Why in the world would we want to bail out a ship registered in Liberia or some other 3rd World S-hole country?
All of the above. Cruises are a non essential service. Our lives might be more boring if it weren’t for the “petri dishes at sea” but life will go on....and my wife might stop hounding me to take her on a cruise.
Let em fail. I really don’t think they will/would but I see no reason to help them out with our tax dollars. I’ve never been on a cruise and have no intentions of going on one so why should I pay for them to stay in business?
This is why I love conservatives..They don't BS around.
I'm mostly for the let them fail. But travel is a huge part of our economy..I don't think he's bailing out cruise companies but more so the travel industry. Have to get people back on vacation spending that money.
States that are dependent on travel and entertainment may be in for a rough time. Florida, Hawaii, Nevada and California come to mind. So who are we going to bail out in the cruise industry? I doubt it would be the crews who are mostly foreign contractors. I doubt it would be the people working the docks. Most of the companies appear to be publicly owned. Smells of TARP again. Airlines are a little different as most of the crews are US citizens. If they start what other industries get help? Hoteliers, Oil companies, casinos list could go on and on.
