What would it take to set term limits on the house and senate?

never happen...talking about an amendment to the constitution which takes a super majority of both the house & senate.

IMO this is one mistake the founding fathers should have address from the get go for all public servants voted into office. Should be the same for local & state as well.

I believe the founders set it up just like it should have been set up. The founders designed the government so that it is by the people and for the people, unfortunately we are getting the government that we deserve.
The real problem is that people vote for the likes of Pelosi, Schumer, Nadler, Waters, Schiff and AOC because the have a different set of morals, values and beliefs, the how and where these beliefs were instilled in them to think this way is the root of the problem. Term limits just means a new face and name that is of the same ilk.
It's easy to manipulate the mindset of a young individual with enough time and peer pressure when they don't have a solid foundation of these things from an early age.
The voting public has the option of term limits to any degree that they want every time they vote.

Terms limits won't fix a thing. The sleeze bags in office are just a symptom. There are thousands like them ready to line up and take the reigns and millions behind them ready to vote. We are at a cultural crossroads in this country.

There are already term limits. Representatives have a 2 year term limit and Senators have a term limit of 6 years. If you don't want them to serve anymore terms you vote them out. Unfortunately with our form of government, sometimes there are folks that don't agree with you. I may happen to like my representative...I don't think it is very democratic for you you tell me I can't the representative I would like.

There are limits imho, people just need to keep from voting the scum back for another round. Issues arise as people don’t vote and then want to complain. When people start complaining about politics my typical dialog goes something like this.

Me: Did you Vote?
Them: No, because ... some excuse
Me: Since you didn’t vote STFU and quite complaining.

The issue with each senator or congressman is you also have to ensure all the aids and other non-elected staff are fired. This was discuss somewhere and makes sense. You can get rid of the talking head and feel that things change unless you ensure all people related (nonelected) are released. If not then they end up running the office for the new people coming in as they are the ones in the “know” on how to get things done
