    Are you a Christian Conservative

Prove it to yourself. Love a democrat.

In this current political atmosphere, the promotion of hatred is the most successful campaign going. Hate is anti-Christian. As Christians we are commanded to love democrats, Republicans, conservatives, liberals, Catholics, protestants, muslims, atheists, etc. Jesus never said the road to heaven was easy. Best way to get there is to start small. Start with a family member, or acquaintance (or if you don't know one, maybe an internet troll ). Eventually you can get to a point where you even care for people like Pelosi (or Trump for the liberals). Just a reminder that conservative principals come mostly from Christianity. But if you're ignoring the most important tenant of Christianity, you're missing the point. Happy New Year.

Christianity is not a suicide pack......I do struggle with hating some of these folks i see trying to destroy this country. I dont wish bad on them but i'd likely have a nice drink if they were no longer around.
    Hopefully ill be forgiven

Passionately opposing views and doctrine that are anti Biblical is the best exhibition of love. You cannot love someone and affirm their anti God views...that’s opposite of what Jesus exampled.

For me the real world application in this context has been to purposefully keep conversations in a healthy arena. If a person and I differ in politics and the direction of our country, I dont mince words but I don't listen to rants or participate in circular arguments either.

I am not a republican but anti democrat...

Ephesians 6:10-20 Contemporary English Version (CEV)

The Fight against Evil(And this is where we are)

10 Finally, let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong. 11 Put on all the armor that God gives, so you can defend yourself against the devil’s tricks. 12 We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world. 13 So put on all the armor that God gives. Then when that evil day[a] comes, you will be able to defend yourself. And when the battle is over, you will still be standing firm.

14 Be ready! Let the truth be like a belt around your waist, and let God’s justice protect you like armor. 15 Your desire to tell the good news about peace should be like shoes on your feet. 16 Let your faith be like a shield, and you will be able to stop all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Let God’s saving power be like a helmet, and for a sword use God’s message that comes from the Spirit.

18 Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people. 19 Pray that I will be given the message to speak and that I may fearlessly explain the mystery about the good news. 20 I was sent to do this work, and that’s the reason I am in jail. So pray that I will be brave and will speak as I should

Amen. Stand your ground and preach what you know is right. But be careful not to hate because then you're doing what you know is wrong.

Theres other stages between love and hate.
You dont automatically love what you dont hate. Or vice versa.
The black and white theory you are attempting to shame everyone with doesnt exist.

Not attempting to shame anyone. Just spreading God's word to my Christian brethren. That's another mandate from Christ. I worry that this polarization we're experiencing (on both sides of the isle) is becoming a big win for satan as so many of us allow our frustration to evolve into hatred. I often have to remind myself not to let that happen. In fact, I've often found myself thanking God I have a couple liberal family members as it reminds me that while I hate their politics, I would be a fool to hate my family members over those same politics. That then serves as a reminder that I should not hate anyone regardless of their politics.

We are seeing a big surge in conservative thinking and that's great. But we're also seeing a big surge in hatred and that's counterproductive to our goals as Christians.

I listened to a black pastor speak about this yesterday. A man called in basically trashing Trump as being anti God. The pastor said first of all Trump wasn’t elected to be the country’s pastor. Secondly he said that he stands against anything or any party whose platform, speech, actions, etc don’t line up with what Gods word says. Furthermore he went on to say, and I’m paraphrasing here, that while he wishes no one to go to hell he fears that plenty In the Democratic are by supporting the platform. His words not mine.

Love God and love others. Stand firm and speak the Truth. Leave the outcome up to God. We may or may not see the outcome but His plan is perfect. We have to trust His Word because, as fallen, sinful people, we are totally inadequate to attain perfection.

The OP is exactly correct with his post but we are flesh and it ain't easy for some of us.. I struggle with this daily and when I finally do gain a little ground "they' pull something evil and despicable to push me back.. Hey I'm only human..
This country is in a battle of Good vs Evil like I have never seen in my time.. It ain't easy...

"BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN; do not let the sun go down on your anger,"
***Ephesians 4:26 tells us that there is a righteous anger but it does not allow hate. A born-again Christian would have a hard time finding hatred in their heart for another.
"To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defile. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed.
**Titus 1:15-16 also tells us who they are and to be sure to allow your spirit to judge other spirits correctly. Do not agree with sinners and fools just to be "nice" or you are guilty of sin because you know better as brothers in Christ.

Yes I am, but that is based on the definition in it's original form before it was hijacked for political purposes.
