Consider the source. Maddow is blowing the whole thing way out of proportion. I do wish LaPiere would ride off into the sunset but whether he does or not, the members of the NRA are still going to vote conservative. Politicians are still going to answer the phone when the NRA calls. Liberal DA's have been investigating the NRA for years and will continue to do so. I wish the NRA didn't have to spend millions on legal fees but it's part of the game.

No doubt there is spin but the NRA is pretty screwed up right now. Until they have an internal house cleaning with LaPierre getting the first boot they are going to continue to struggle.

There are many people with “classical liberal” beliefs that are true gun enthusiasts, and staunch 2A supporters that are turned away by all of the political BS. Time for a reform.
