I'm sure we don't know the whole story but the way this is being presented in the media is that the "disturbing behavior" was that he owned ARs and put a scope and bipod on a recent purchase (God forbid) and called it a "sniper" rifle instead of a "hunting" rifle.
Buried at the end of the story is that he had his Visa revoked and couldn't legally own firearms after that. If they would have led with that, it would have been a short, non-news story, IMO.
This is how it is going to play out going forward with law-abiding gun owners, I'm afraid.
