SO, if they decide not to vote for Trump, but for whatever reason didn't get to the polls to vote for Hillary, would that be considered a vote for Trump?

I could really use your support in helping me make America great again. You do want American to be great again...don't you? I love Ohio and the great, great people there. You have a great governor too. I'm thinking about buying a farm there.
Originally posted by mwk128 View PostThis point has been brought up already, but being that we have an electoral college, it's not really true that not voting for Trump is a vote for Hilary. Texas should easily go to Trump. If Texas somehow ends up being a close race, Trump is probably screwed nationwide. So, when Trump wins Texas, he gets all the delegates, so the nevertrumpers votes don't matter.
Now, I certainly respect the folks that say "I'm a republican, and I will vote republican no matter what, even if the person running isn't who I would choose first." That's a fine philosophy to have.
Another way to think about it, and my personal view is that:
#1 - Texas is going to Trump by a fairly wide margin, so Trump losing my vote isn't going to matter. (I know that if 1 million people had that view and switched their vote to Hillary, it could swing the state to Hillary, and blah, blah, blah. I don't think there's any possibility that will happen, and I would think polling numbers would show that close to election time. If polling showed it to be a tight race, then maybe I would switch my vote to Trump).
#2 I feel like the republican party as a whole has screwed up this election and really been screwing around for the last 8 years. So, I would like to use my vote to send a message to the republican party. I think the best way to do that is to vote for someone else. If Trump does a little worse in Texas than predicted, and Hillary and Gary Johnson do a little better than predicted, maybe, just maybe the republican party leadership will think, "dang we are losing ground here, maybe next election we should make sure we get a candidate who isn't such a baffoon."
I'm sure my vote won't make any difference, but everyone who says not voting for Trump is a vote for Hillary is not looking at the big picture, in Texas anyway. Now if you live in a true battleground state, then your vote definitely counts.
That's just my thoughts on it anyway
If Texas ends up being close, not only will Trump lose to Hillary nationwide, it would likely be a landslide.

Donald, get back on Twitter, you're wasting your time here.
OMG, why would you do that? Why would you introduce facts into this discussion, there's no need for that!

Doing the Right thing doesn't always equal an immediate win.

Everyone keeps harping on "throwing your vote away." To me, voting for someone I despise is throwing my vote away.

Trump is polling even with Hillary and some polls have him above her. Romney was 10 points behind Obama at this same point in time 4 years ago. Let's go Trump! Been doubted from the get go but have made the nay sayers eat crow this entire journey. I really wanted Cruz but now I'm 100% behind Trump.
