What would you do if...

Barack Hussein Obama signed an executive order tomorrow banning all semi-automatic rifle from being sold and owned. What would you do when they came to your house to collect them? Or search for them? Would you build a hidden compartment to hide them? Fight? Or give them up peacefully? And thinking if they are searching for them they would have trained dogs. How would you hide them? This is just a thought that has been in my head for a while. Maybe Obama wants to be that POTUS that goes out with a bang. He has tried it legislatively, what is stopping him from taking matters into his own hands?

I don't have any guns. If I did, I know of several locations where they could be easily hidden and not found by people or dogs.

In all reality, I think it would be a next to impossible task for the POTUS to get the support needed from military and LEO personnel to go door-to-door checking for and confiscating weapons. I know a lot of LEO's in Texas and Alaska and not a single one of them would carry out that mission. Sure there are those that would carry out that mission, but if it came to that, I believe there would be a huge fracture in the ranks of the military, law enforcement and civilians to the point of starting a civil war.

This is a nice what if question, but the reality is that he cannot do that, no matter how bad he wants to. He does not have the power to create or eliminate laws, especially ones that are protected by the Constitution.

So all of your worry about what you will do, is not necessary. Never gonna happen. Cannot happen by ANY president.

Nice fodder but it has not been attempted legislatively as you noted. Zero legislation has said go out and collect weapons from legal law abiding American citizens. Gobs of other non-sensical legislation has been presented but never made it out of committee to be considered for a vote. The few that made it to a vote went down in flames........because of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. The NRA, SCI and multiple other shooting & hunting organizations have stood in the gap valiantly............and with this latest ploy to attack black rifles the funds will flow into the coffers again to continue to fight the good fight!

With the exception of a UN treaty that hillary witch signed, you are correct. the only way he could attempt it would be with UN troops and you would see local sherrifs go to battle on the peoples behalf if he tried that crap.

you dont understand how executive orders work. he can only "Tweak" current laws. it was put in place to fine tune current laws. The spirit of the law is nothing like ol pokie is using it for.
You can rest assured if he could ban guns w/ an EO he would have already done it.

UN troops are really good at one thing: observing. Whether it's ethnic cleansing or horrifying civil wars, they'll be sure to sit there on the sidelines and watch. Even if it's going on just down the street.

Why in Gods name would you hide them or bury them, that point in time is when you need them the most. It's what the 2A was put into the constitution for.
But all I own are these bows and I'm not a very good shot anyway.
