    It should be clear by now that Democrat has become the default setting for the uneducated and ill informed. I'm not saying New York is indicative of the country. Just saying that it's so pervasive that even someone as flawed as her can attract so many votes.

      My first vote for president was for Gerald Ford over Jimmy Carter in 1976 and I have been very involved politically ever since. If Trump gets the nomination I will not vote. Based on personal integrity alone I will not vote for him, no matter how much I hate Hillary. I have pulled the lever for someone who is not my first choice, but never for someone who I believe is a miserable human being and who's election threatens not just the conservative movement but the entire 240 year American experiment. My no-vote protest will be meaningless of course but I will not be party to the unraveling.

        You got it! That was my stance on the Romney versus Obama......I wont continue to vote for the proverbial, "Best of Two Evils!" And YES, Texas will go RED without my vote for the foreseeable future anyway. I visit capitol hill twice per year (in 3 weeks actually) and I will focus my attention where the rubber hits the road..........CONGRESS!

            Man, this is a depressing thread...our country is really jacked up in how we view the same person & their core.

            You take Jerp's comment & compare it against many Trump supporters, who clearly think he's the best option since Washington or Lincoln??

            ~~~~~~~~~~
            Clinton...who's actions should nullify her all together & is the most likely to win at this point??
            Sigh...I think I need to take a break from all this.
              I doubt very many Trump supporters see him as the best canditate ever, or the second coming of Jesus, or whatever else the proud anti-Trumps want to claim in order to make them seem like nutcases. I know I don't. Personally, I just see him as the best candidate IN MY OPINION in this very important election. The part of this election that makes me sick is how many people who aren't fans of Trump(mostly Cruz supporters) are not just attacking him, but his supporters as well as if they're somehow automatically wrong or stupid for not having the same views. People can claim whatever they want, but you just don't see that in anywhere near the amount or ferocity coming from Trump supporters directed at Cruz supporters. Granted, that's mainly coming from the admittedly small sample size on here since I try to stay away from political discussions anywhere else. What ever happened to respecting each other's views?
                Wow. I respect you a lot based on your many posts in other forums, but this is plain sad. You really think he's the devil don't you? And you really think Cruz is the annoited one?
                  I would vote for Trump against Hillary if I thought him winning would be better in the long run for the country and especially the constitutional conservative movement than Hillary winning. I don't. They would both be horrible, obviously. But I'm convinced that it would actually be more difficult to ever see any hope of a conservative recovery if Trump were president. Trump would completely destroy the Republican party and the conservative movement. We'd get pretty much the same Supreme Court justices out of him as we'd get from Hillary - which is huge, and both will be disastrous long past the end of the presidential term. But Trump's insanity will cause Republicans and conservatives to get the blame, and we'll lose control of Congress. Combine that with losing the Supreme Court, and it'll be liberal rule forever after that. At least with Hillary, we'd stand a chance of keeping Congress and fighting back against some of that.
                      It's asinine. Don't worry. Most of us realize how crazy that is.
Trump won't win the general, and if anyone else but Trump gets the nod at the convention, neither will they. The Republican Party is busted. I don't like it, but that's where we are headed.
                        Yes but in the primaries the GOP has cast 4 million more votes than the Dems and had better turn out in the 2 most important swing states OH and FL...
                          I voted for Romney and will vote for Trump if he is the nominee. Don't worship either of them. Don't really like either of them. Is a slower march towards socialism. I'll take it.
                          I feel for you...I spent almost a year going b/w Austin and DC. It's all very disgusting. The organizations I helped represent bought many votes and won some very important battles for our industry. A majority of the politicians I met couldn't have cared less about our agenda or the nuances of what we were seeking to change. They wanted power. Their campaign got a FAT check. The money legitimized our requests. I met very few that took the time to care or understand. I've become very disenchanted by the whole political process since that point.
                            We wont ever get another constitutional conservative nominated for POTUS. The demographic of the nation has shifted. I'll help slow our nations movement left vs abstaining form the election process. Texas succession and the immediate deportation of all Libs is probably more likely than a constitutional conservative being nominated and elected to president in the next 40 years.
                              I wouldn't say he is the anointed one but I like Ted and agree with his stance on most things. I think my disdain for Donald Trump is stronger than my enthusiasm for Cruz. From recent voting, it is obvious that millions feel just the opposite.
                                Trump says he is pro life. Hillary is not. Trump wants to secure our borders, Hillary does not. Trump is pro capitalism. Hillary is a big government program supporter. Trump wants to improve trade. Hillary does not. Trump will not be bought by special interest groups. Hillary has and will. You know exactly what you will get with HRC, which is Obamas 3rd term. Would Trump be as bad? Not sure, but I highly doubt it. I'm a Cruz guy, but refuse to ever give in to the Dems w/o a fight. Wish more people felt the same. I'd rather take a chance with an unknown than give the White House to that old hag liberal.
