What those guy’s understand that the average citizen cannot understand, is that they are politically agnostic. They do not care who or which party is in power, their “contributions” buy access and leverage for the purpose of making $ and gaining more power and influence. Politicians are nothing more than a tool or lever that can be worked when it benefits them.

Their charitable contributions provide good press and public relations (and create tax shelters), if all they did was fund evil causes, the world would eventually perceive them as a real life Dr Evil
