Guy caught keying 6 Teslas not charged criminally?

Several years ago we had a vehicle broke into. They hit several neighbors as well. Spoke with the Police. They took photos and statements. Nothing ever came up.
Not that the guy shouldn't be charged for the damages. But..... Why because it's a Tesla and Elons company does it get special attention? As mentioned before if it was Chevrolets or Fords. No one bats an eye.

It's only because it's a political issue. If the CEO of Chevrolet took a break from installing atrocious transmissions in their vehicles to work for Trump, the same thing would happen.
