Pulled up beside her at a red light at 2am and shot her 8 times for no reason. Just a random killing apparently. Who knows.

The shooter has been caught just recently.

I'm with you. I think he will eventually be found guilty. The media has latched onto this one and will use it as the next George Floyd type issue to keep racial divide and tensions high. It's what they are paid to do. However much we may hate the MSM, it isn't enough.

Truthfully it is a sad state of affairs we live in and to think people are profiting and holding this Karmello kid up as a hero in their eyes. Lot's of folks saying George Floyd 2.0. Wonder when they will put up a statue of this kid? Even some rapper is promoting T-shirts on his behalf to support this murderer. Crazy times we live in for sure.

There are a lot of false narratives flowing around saying the two boys jumped this kid but so far from the twins brother statement he said he heard the altercation and the situation happened so fast he didn't even see the stabbing he just saw his brother falling, etc. so obviously he was not physically involved. However, seems like i saw a video of the attorney saying this will go to court as a "stand your ground" or "self-defense" based on perceived threat. I am not an attorney, but I don't see how this could justify a quick reactive stabbing based on a "perceived" threat. There wasn't a single scratch, bruise, bloody nose, busted lip on that kid so obviously not a major physical threat. Seems far fetched to me. That would be like me being approached by 3 dudes saying they were going to beat me up and I pull out a gun and shoot all 3 dead. I don't see how I can say it was a perceived threat and get away with that. My main question though is if the defense attorney determines this case is going to be a major uphill battle to convince a jury this was self-defense and decides for a plea deal to a lesser charge of 2nd degree murder/manslaughter does the prosecution have to agree to the plea deal or can they deny it and say NO we want to prosecute to the full extent of the law as 1st degree murder?

I have a very good long time friend that was in the Marines with me. I got out first and got hired at Texas Instruments as security guard due to my TS/SCI clearance and after he got out I got him on with same clearance. I moved on to FD and he went to college with TI tuition reimbursement and ended up with a degree and did very well at TI and retired from there, has house in Parker on an acre valued at around $1 million paid for as is everything else he has. Well some girl/lady accused him of having all the nice stuff due to his white privilege.....he was homeless and sleeping in a gas station bathroom and joined Marines because they were the ones that could get him out fastest and ended up together with me in Cryptologic Intelligence and afterwards to TI and on.....she accuses him on FB of only having what he does due to white privilege and he literally went from homeless to where he is today by opportunities available to everyone and did it all on his own with nothing handed to him but all earned and worked for. Oh, and of course it was a white girl saying it......

they see success as White Privilege rather than hard work and effort which they aren't willing to put forth and if others do just make excuses and accusations for their failures and give them their "fair share" of your efforts.....when she posted that I told him "you are the perfect example of the American dream and your path was open to any of them" being the military springboard.

There are so many who won't/don't acknowledge the benefits of wearing the uniform--retirement pay, health care, education benefits, VA benefits if qualified, etc, etc, etc. And I speak from experience as I spent 30 yrs and 25 days in Army green.

We used to be more scared of the gun toting TI guards than the neighborhood we worked in. Security was a bunch of thieves back in the day. With all of the cameras and such, it was amazing how much stuff disappeared out of vehicles. Heck, back in 1980, my truck was stolen from the South Building parking lot in the middle of the day.

Started there in 86 I was there less than a year got on FD but like I said buddy retired from TI and saw the writing on the wall on defense and moved to chips. We didn't patrol parking lots and the campus you are talking about we were very rarely there and preferred it that way, too many suits and gold badges....
