First, why was the DoD using Signal to group communicate classified information? The NSA is so far ahead of the private industry in encryption technology it’s reasonable to believe they have their own encrypted communication software and network to operate on secure, government issued phones.

Second, given they used Signal with permission, who sent out the incorrect invitation request? Who was supposed to monitor the participants and insure only invited people were communicating?

It almost had to be deliberate. Maybe a tactical move to create a huge distraction or something else. No way it was an accident.
