heres a note…elon is managing a repurposed department of the govt that was already in play.
The judge in this case halted DOGE access temporarily in order to have a hearing. It is really not unusual for an injunction to be issued to stop an action until both sides can present their case to the judge.
The judge in this case scheduled a hearing for February 14.
When Biden announced his student loan forgiveness, several states sued and I believe two federal judges issued injunctions against Biden to shut it down until it goes through the lawsuit.
It’s a fair common legal tactic. It can be appealed to the circuit court and eventually to the Supreme Court.
