They have been cleaning house over off beechnut and bissonet where my in laws live without the help..and doing just fine.
Great to hear lets see how the Houston lefists and friends react when they shut down Federal and State funding for aiding and abetting criminals. Roll the cameras please.
And there is a BIG difference between "assisting" the Feds and attempting to hamper them. According to the reports I've seen, Houston and Harris county, and really municipalities and counties throughout the state have cooperated with ICE when they issue a detainer. What I saw was the local DEA/Ice guy said indeed when they issue a detainer, it is honored and they are notified and the perp is held for ICE or DEA to come pick up. They are NOT released. To them it is a BIG help for the local agencies to do that. AND that is really all they are asking. Just hold folks for us what we know about and have asked to be held and don't hinder us or get in our way... That's what I saw in multiple reports.
For instance, in places like Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc. (Sanctuary cities/states) they will not honor ICE detainers. When they are done with them locally and are going to cut them loose or they post bail, they cut them loose... What happens then is the Feds have to go into the communities and find them and take them into custody, and that results in more "collaterals" being also arrested because most of the criminals they have taken into custody have been found hanging out with other criminals/illegal aliens that they may not have on their "lists". The for sure do not turn a blind eye to the others. They arrest them too...
Sounds like Houston is trying to become the Chicago metro of Texas. So for those cities such as Chicago and NYC that claims sanctuary status and refuse to allow federal agents to inspect and investigate any undocumented personnel what's the legal impact to these municipalities from a federal level if denying entrance to certain areas?
