I think He’s Awesome! He can carry a rifle , pistol , pvc pipe with a relatively large flag on it , a fishing pole with no string on it , a back pack… errr bag with a little bit of bait in it while walking to “ fishing”. The most important thing was that he started the whole thing with the statute! No Way he was looking for trouble. He was just showing that he could do Alll of that - what A trooper !

The best part is when FWC gets involved, questions him about his fishing license, then releases him because he is doing nothing unlawful.

You guys think it should be illegal to carry an AR like that? If you answer yes then you have a point I can't argue. But if you say no, then how can you be good with LEO detaining him for no reason?
Illegal detention without articulating a crime

I’m for what ever is constitutional and is legal , I believe every law abiding citizen should not have their rights violated, then again, LE has a job to do, but should be trained to know the law and uphold the constitution.
I would never test them like this guy does, but if someone wants to test the laws of the land its their right to do, as long as it’s legal, the only time I carry is when we go hunting, and have rifles in the truck headed to the ranch.
I have trooper friends that tell me I need to carry at all times, and I probably should because they are the ones dealing with thugs on a daily basis and they know just how dangerous it can be out there.

                Meaning what?

There is no constitutional requirement that a person is committing a crime to be detained.

The open carry of a handgun is a crime in Florida. He was openly carrying a handgun.
