Actually I don't expect that these tomatoes will be very good in the traditional sense. They have not been heavily selectively bred or genetically modified like all the tomatoes. Perfectly smooth, rich red, sweet and juicy. These are an ugly pinkish lumpy tomato and I expect them to be more dry and earthy tasting. We shall see.

I grew some heirloom tomatoes one year. One plant. One ugly looking purple tomato that was a really good tasting tomato. I’ll try again this spring

She had a show where she travels throughout Mexico in search of authentic foods. She went to a small village/town that had a very unique heriloom tomato. After watching that I was able to find someone online who had some of those seeds and purchased some from him. I planted them late and they just started making tomatoes. They are so rare that I have little silk bags tied around each one so the bugs don't destroy them. So I thank her for introducing me to this tomato.
Having said all that....Goodbye Mrs. Longoria.
