    Running on abortions

I am thoroughly disgusted with the democrats in their latest harp - abortions for all. They think their stance on abortion - up until birth plus 30 days - is a winning issue. It is horrifying that anyone could rejoice in killing babies. And worse, they have introduced ballot initiatives in many pro-life states to not only guarantee the right to kill babies, but also prohibit the legislature from crafting laws against it. These ballot initiatives are confusing and written to deceive the voters into thinking they are voting in favor of "choice".

Allred is going around the state campaigning on this. I have to hand it to them - they are standing solid on their beliefs. Conservatives need to be just as crafty, just as convicted on their beliefs.

And just a reality check - the single number one cause of death in the world is abortion. https://www.worldometers.info/ (scroll down to health)

Anybody that basis any voting decision on abortion is an idiot. Especially when it is for a federal election. Per the Supreme Court, it doesn't matter what Cruz or Allred think about abortion because it is not a federal issue. The whole discussion is pointless and yet idiots buy into it and vote based on it.

The abortion issue stopped the red wave in 2022. Motivated a lot of leftists and women to vote who normally would not, even though the economy was tanking and borders were wide open. They tried to keep Kamala in the closet, and she started losing. Remember in 2020 and 2022 there were no political rallies due to Covid which hurt Trump and the party. They are trying the same strategies in 2024. Kill babies and hide out and feel good vibes. Hopefully others are seeing the same as what I do.

The lefties in my family say, “My body my choice” when it comes to the baby killings. When I said the same for the Jab, the response was, “But it’s for the health and safety of society.”

It certainly does matter. They are going to try to codify it in federal law if they can flip the house and keep the senate

Probably so but I think the Supreme Court will keep that from happening. Unless I'm misinterpreting, the Supreme Court said it is a state issue not a federal issue. Of course we have already seen what the left thinks of the Supreme Court and if everything turns blue they will pack the court.

This should just be so far down the list of concerns (either side) for anybody at this point. I can't put abortion in the top 10 of my political concerns and Im pro-choice. It is just mind boggling how many people care about something that really doesn't affect them.

That’s not what they said. They said basically the original SCOTUS should have kicked it down to lower courts because there’s no federal or constitutional merit.

so if the next Congress makes a federal law, it resolves that issue. It will be challenged. But frankly, I don’t see where the constitution pertains to it in anyway

I agree it can be passed and I agree it will be challenged. As you said, the constitution doesn't pertain to it so I can't see how any new legislation would stand. But stranger things have happened.

Either way, legal or illegal, federal or state, etc. I can't put it in the top 10 things I'm concerned with politically.

Being a 1 issue voter is something that has confounded me since I could vote.

This is one issue I will not ever budge on. This 1 issue will keep me from voting for anyone with a D following their name because now it is their policy - abortion on demand.

Abortion is a winning topic for the Dems. That's why it is on nearly every commercial.

The "no exceptions" thing is what is winning for them. I've talked to a few women who are against abortion generally, but feel like there will be incest and rape victim babies all over the place now.

That and the 2nd amendment are my yardsticks, but I’ve voted straight R since Reagan anyway.
