I wish her the best. Finally she did it! Came out at a Trump rally last night and announced she is joining the republican party or as she called it the Party of Peace.
Who is Tulsi Gabbard
She is a lifelong Dem from Hawaii who could have beat Trump had she "won" the Dem primary She has different views on 2A but let's see if that changes or if she is more a moderate Repub. Glad to have her on our side.

I was dead set against Gabbard due to her Second Amendment stance. If there is a single hot button issue for me, it will be the Second Amendment.
When she went public a few months ago about leaving the Democratic Party and became an independent, she also publicly renounced her stance on the Second Amendment. Her comments were something like, after talking to people I now understand what the Second Amendment means.
Political talk? Perhaps but just coming out and announcing that she is now a Republican, it will be a short honeymoon if she starts back with an anti-gun agenda

Some people just need educating...let's hope she's one of those people.

Here is about a 4 minute interview where she was pretty much asked, why the change.
Part of her answer was that she grew up in a heavy gun control state and never fired a rifle until she went into the military. Even that was so controlled with each bullet counted, the rifle checked in and out, etc.
Her epiphany was that her Democratic stance on “common sense” gun laws was just a cover-up for control of people. We can choose to believe or not believe any politician however, she flatly said that she was for gun control until she found out what it really meant. Now she is apparently shooting in matches and hanging out with gun totin’ people.

She makes a very compelling speech and I'm actually happy she now "sees the light". I have no reason not to believe her as long as her actions continue to match her words.

Yep. She is a good fit. I don't agree with everything she says, but I am betting she and I agree on 75% of issues. And that is plenty good enough for me compared to the radical left (including republicans, think Mittens or Jeb!)
