I've listened to Dan Bongino on this and he said the SS is very anti new technology which would seem completely backwards and he gave plenty of examples when he was there. Old hands up top thought "we didn't need that, why need it now" and this was maybe the beginning of woke he retired under Obama. We used to have that in FD which is why they rode with fire engines and trucks with no roof on them and get soaked in rain and froze in cold then finally at least moved everyone to a roof over their head

Trump's security level has been upgraded to what a current president has. I saw this firsthand when he was in Houston 2 weeks ago. I've been on the ground when most presidents step foot off AF1 and never seen the Secret Service CAT team on the plane with the President. The CAT team now travels with him. Also they have chase vehicles on the runway with Trump Force One until wheels up which is definitely a first for me. They're taking the missile threat against Trumps plane very seriously.

It isn't even about Trump to me. With the current threat level he should have every available resource including fighter escort every time that plane moves and honestly should be moving quietly from one plane to another.

If most people understood the current potential for a terrorist strike including or other than against Trump personally the nation would be in a panic.
