I was pointing out "they" are taking it to a new higher level.

What is clear is that a lot of countries /governments including some that might have considered to be “free” have never really had freedom of speech. Since men roamed the earth, tyrant governments have censored folks that challenged the government’s narrative. Sometimes that meant that a journalist might end up six feet under. now with the power of social media and tits ability to reach millions of folks around the world tyrannical governments are trying to shut social media down or at least control it.

This is 100% correct. It's not surprising at all, China, North Korea, Russia, etc.... have all been jailing and or killing any political/speech dissenters for many, many years. Welcome to totalitarianism folks, it's here in the good ole USA as we speak. The Covid scam finally allowed the deep state to usher it in full scale. The west has used other sly tactics like misinformation, disinformation, fact checking, pressuring social media outlets to censor free speech, and on and on. Europe and Canada are full blown totalitarianism regimes, just look at the trucker convoy in Canada and Brittian's attempts to arrest and imprison people for peacefully and quietly praying anywhere near abortion clinics. Anything seen as a platform of free and unaltered speech is and will continue to come under full attack from our government and other oppressive governments around the globe.
