Just started watching and the director was asked by Representative Gearld Connolly of VA, "Do AR-15's make your job harder....?" She wouldn't go there about the AR-15's, mentioned the 2nd amendment and he got irritated at her for refusing to answer. Kudos to her for that....

A better response would have been, sure rifles make my job harder. The Fourth Amendment makes my job harder. How much easier would it be if we didn’t need warrants. The Fifth Amendment makes my job harder. How much easier would it be if you could be found guilty if you remained silent. The Sixth Amendment makes my job harder. It would be easier to solve crime if a person had no right to have a lawyer.

So yes Mr. Congressman, AR-15s make my job harder. So do relatively all rights including the right to keep and bear arms. Do you suggest that we get rid of the Bill of Rights?

Was just thinking the same thing when they asked her about concealed carry in DC. She tried to say that they travel all over the US where there is open carry etc and that is a non issue.

She has been told to say nothing of substance and that her job is safe, so they ain’t getting any substantive answers out of her. They knew that going in though. The worst thing that ever happened is when they put cameras in the Halls of Congress. It turned our “lawmakers” into actors. They love to act tough, but they have no teeth. When is the last time any meaningful punishment was given to any government official that lied to congress ? I’ll wait.

Congress cannot punish Executive Branch officials. That would violate the separation of powers in the Constitution.

That was my point tvc, finding them in contempt seems like a compliment. Hell, we’re ALL in contempt of congress !

All a waste of time. We know she and other DEI hires are incompetent but those in power don't care nor does she. This is just an annoyance for her and won't answer anything of substance which is why I won't waste my time watching it.

This. More than half of the Dems wanted to make this about gun control and assault style weapons. Change the fricking record and please. With everything considered going on in our world we could easily have another 911 event and they’ll still default to gun control.
