I'm on LinkedIn and I'm seeing more and more connections adding their pronouns to their name. A guy I used to work with is in his early to mid 60's and I even noticed he added the He/Him to his name/title. I guess I don't get it. It's not like this is some kind of requirement to apply for a job, loan, or legally identify yourself with. Just seems to be more and more of this showing up. I guess I'm old school I don't have to add to my identification other than what's been working for years now such as Mr., Biological sex, DL #, SSN. I guess we live in a world of social acceptance beyond just the norm these days. I get a kick out of those saying if you don't identify someone by their appropriate pronouns that it could be offensive or even considered harassment. I could also play that offensive game that I'm offended you think I"m too stupid to determine what you biologically are without having to stamp your pronouns on your forehead. Just seems the wokeness is spreading like wildfire.

Lot of big company have HER/SHEY/IT HR folks who put those at the top. Just like all the right/left marketing sometimes you get noticed in a good way and sometimes in a bad. I think people are trying to appear open-minded about it and showing they'll get along in a big office environment, that's the LinkedIn crowd honestly. Having said that I think it's retarded and I'm using that term in a derogatory manner towards people who use pronouns or go along with them. The worst ones are the straight people who add their correct (biologically) pronouns just so they can fit in.
